Community safety

Safety designed into the product from the beginning.

Healthy disagreement is allowed. Harassment, exploitation, manipulation, and unsafe discovery are not the price of participation.

Meet Sentinel, our planned safety system.

Learn how we’re designing moderation, privacy safeguards, and more accountable recommendations. Sentinel is in development; these protections are not all operational yet.

Reports start a review—not a vote

A large number of reports does not automatically make content wrong. Context and evidence matter, and coordinated reporting must be detected.

Moderate harmful behavior

Threats, harassment, fraud, doxxing, exploitation, and abuse are addressed without punishing people merely for holding a different opinion.

Sensitive content should not ambush people

Pornography-driven promotion, extreme gore, animal cruelty, and shock material should not dominate the feed. Legitimate sensitive material needs warnings and context.

Safer defaults for teens

Younger users need stronger privacy, tighter messaging protections, reduced adult discoverability, safer location handling, and stricter mature-content limits.

Community authority has a boundary.

Community moderators can manage their own spaces. Joining a community never gives moderators access to private messages, private profile details, or the rest of a person’s life.

See exactly what is allowed—and what gets someone banned.

Our Community Standards separate healthy expression from harmful conduct, with clear consequences and an appeal process.
